Neighborhood watering holes populate just about every corner of Dallas. These dependable haunts are frequented by true regulars who have been working the jukebox for decades and know everyone in the place by name. Sure, they’re called dive bars, but the truth is these places are all about low-key fun, stiff drinks, a sense of community, and — on the right night — a little bit of anything-can-happen magic.What to Expect..
Dallas can open as many fancy rooftop spots, high-end cocktail bars, and questionably themed dance clubs as it wants, but the best nights out in this town will almost always involve a dive bar. Some of these places are over 20 years old with an interesting history to match. Peak Inn has the best burger and fried chicken in town! Cosmos has a new Asian menu by Jackson, a local chef ..... the pho is most excellent.
The criteria of a great dive are somewhat undefined, and that’s kind of the point. Relaxed scenes, great people-watching, and the comfort of knowing that no one cares if you don’t hit the high note in “I Will Always Love You.” If you’re looking for a fun night out with your friends and want to leave the driving to us then be our guests on the dive bar run.
